Rainer Zietlow is happy with the performance of the brake pads from Textar during the world record.

Rainer Zietlow and his team once again managed to set a new world record. The long-distance record-seeking driver only needed 10 days and 19 hours to drive the 22,500-kilometer route at Panamericana, the largest road network in the world. In doing so, Rainer Zietlow has broken his own world record since 2011. During the course, the long distance rider relied on Textar’s brake pads, which, as expected, resisted the stresses of the trip and drove the entire team until the end.

“I chose the Textar brake pads for our world record from Alaska to Argentina, as I fully rely on the brand. At Panamericana, where you have to climb mountains in Colombia and sharp curves on the Pacific coast in Peru, you need reliable brakes. From my previous partnership with Textar, I knew I would get the best possible quality on the brakes, “says Rainer Zietlow in explaining his reasons for relying on the brake pads from Textar during the world record attempt.

For years, as part of his numerous world record attempts and long distance travel, Rainer Zietlow has been supporting the SOS Children Villages charity. For every kilometer traveled, the world record holder will again donate 15 cents to an SOS Children’s Village. Last week, he visited the SOS Children’s Village in Montevideo, Uruguay, to donate 3,000 euros. The money will be used for new school equipment.
